Description:

'Brash, vulgar, sometimes downright obscene, I loved every minute of it' Sunday Times.

'An outrageously funny musical for the iPod generation. Cross Sesame Street with the Muppet Show give it an X rating and slap on a Government Health Warning that too much laughter can make your sides ache and you've got Avenue Q, A MUST SEE ' Radio 2.

Into it’s fourth year in London, the cult hit show Avenue Q has been playing to hugely enthusiastic and young crowds and standing ovations, proving highly addictive with its legion of fans buying tickets to see it over and over!

Avenue Q is set in a mythical NYC block occupied by an endearing, oddball collection of people; Christmas Eve and her hopeless husband Brian and puppets: Nicky, Rod (who is in the closet), lost soul Princeton, lovelorn Kate, porn-happy Trekkie Monster, and bimbo-licious Lucy The Slut!

Some say that Avenue Q is a little like Sesame Street, but for adults, and we’d be inclined to agree, but it’s like a grown up Sesame Street which is turned into a very funny night out for all.

To call it a puppet show does it a disservice, Sesame Street for grown-ups isn't right either. There's no handy way to describe Avenue Q except as the furriest, and one of the funniest, shows you're likely ever to see. Grab a ticket whilst you can!

Avenue Q contains scenes which may be unsuitable for children under 12. Children under 5 are not admitted. If you’re an adult and want to have a good laugh, then Avenue Q is right up your street and the show for you!

Our Review:
It was almost as if Avenue Q was written for Hit The Theatre and our audience of young and hip twenty-somethings.

After three years now in the West End the producers have assembled arguably the best cast they’ve ever had and the show is as good as ever. It’s closing in March2009, so I urge you to give it a shot before it’s too late…you will love it!

I'm not sure Avenue Q is my favourite show (still has to be Phantom) but it really is the best thing I've seen in the West End for years and years.
Review by John, Woking
Saw Avenue Q last week and was blown away. Already booked to take my family back, it was hilarious, I cried with laughter.

Did you watch Sesame Street and the Muppets when you were a kid? Well now here’s your chance to re-live/upgrade your youth and come and see Avenue Q – possibly your only chance to see LIVE on-stage sex between two consenting puppets…it’s like your life, only funnier….
Review by John, Sussex
It's brilliant, I've seen it twice now. It is funny, but the fact that you have puppets on stage singing and dancing makes it so brilliant. It's difficult to describe. I took 10 friends to it and everyone of us absolutely loved it! Thanks.

Was really excited about seeing it. It was crude, funny, and I absolutely loved it!!
Review by Olivia, Oxford
One of my favourites, was forced to see it and am so glad I did. Brilliant, thanks.
Review by Chris, London
This is a fantastic show. Go see it now!! It's a very simple set, but the actors actually perform with the puppets and it's superb. Hilarious night out!
